In this article, I’m talking about habit stacking, your new secret weapon for getting happy, healthy, and hot without having to “find more time” in your already overloaded life.  Habit stacking helps you maximize health benefits, metabolism, and mood even if you’re busy.

Because let me guess.

You feel like you don’t have time.

You’re working. You’re managing a household. You’re answering emails. You’re supporting everyone else. And somehow your workouts, your nutrition, your stress management, and your “me time” and “self care” always land at the bottom of the list.  Or may be you feel guilty for doing nice things for yourself when you have a million other things you could be doing.

I hear this every single day from women.

And if I’m being honest? I’ve lived it too.

As women, many of us have been conditioned to be caretakers and ‘good girls’ first and humans second. We put everyone else’s needs before our own. We give. We serve. We overextend. And then we say, “I don’t have time for myself.”

That is exactly why habit stacking matters.

Habit stacking is how I’ve written three books, built countless programs, stayed fit, nourished my metabolism, supported my mood, immunity, and nervous system, and still had a life all while looking and feeling good.  But it wasn’t always like this trust me!

No, I didn’t magically create more hours in the day.

I stacked them.

That’s exactly what habit stacking does and I’m going to show you how you can do it, too.

Today I’m sharing:

What Is Habit Stacking

Habit stacking is the practice of combining multiple beneficial habits into one block of time so you maximize efficiency, improve your health, and accelerate results without adding more to your schedule.

Instead of working and then walking, you work while walking.

Instead of doing cardio and then listening to a podcast, you do both at the same time.

Instead of carving out separate time for beauty routines, personal growth, and stress management, you layer them.

Right now, as I’m writing this, I’m walking on my walking pad.

I’m working and walking.

I’m also sipping lemon water and a green smoothie.

So instead of work, cardio, hydration, and micronutrients being four separate tasks, they’re one stack.

This concept is supported in behavioral science. Research on implementation intentions shows that linking a new behavior to an existing routine dramatically improves follow through. You can review supporting research on PubMed here.

This is not about doing more.

It’s about being strategic.

Why Habit Stacking Matters for Busy Women

Most women are overwhelmed.

Not because they are incapable. But because they are carrying too much.

When you are emotionally maxed out and mentally drained, adding one more healthy habit feels impossible.

Habit stacking removes the time excuse.

If you’re already doing cardio, you can learn during cardio.

If you’re already answering emails, you can move your body while doing it.

If you’re already sitting in the sun for vitamin D exposure, you can meditate or listen to something that strengthens your mindset.

I have worked, written books, dyed & deep conditioned my hair and did a face mask all while doing cardio.

I respond to client emails while walking or in my hot tub while rehabbing my muscles.

I sit in the sun for light exposure while replying to emails or listening to a podcast, audiobook, lecture, or meditation.

This is how you get more done and ‘make more time’ without creating more stress.

How Habit Stacking Benefits Your Body, Brain, and Metabolism

Physical Benefits of Habit Stacking

Walking while working increases daily movement without requiring a separate workout session.

Adding hydration and nutrient dense foods during work supports digestion, detoxification, hormone balance, and cellular energy.

Research shows that increasing daily movement improves insulin sensitivity and metabolic health.

Mental and Emotional Benefits of Habit Stacking

Listening to lectures, church services, or personal development while exercising feeds your brain while strengthening your body.

Exercise itself has been shown to improve mood and cognitive performance.

Instead of feeling behind in multiple areas of your life, you feel aligned.

The Ultimate Habit Stacking Strategy for Faster Results

Metabolic Benefits of Habit Stacking

This is where most women miss the mark… especially if they’re trying to lose weight and feel great.

You can stack workouts. You can stack productivity. You can stack skincare.

But if your nutrition does not match your metabolic type’s needs, you will sabotage your results.

Abs are made in the kitchen as I’m sure you know.

But brain function, energy, hormones, and a good mood are all made in the kitchen, too,

Nutrition isn’t just fuel. It is information. It communicates with your hormones, gut, detox pathways, inflammation levels, nervous system, and mitochondria.  HINT: these need to be good in order for you to look and feel good.

If you are eating in a way that does not align with your Metabolic Type, you can sabotage energy, mood, and goals… which make you burn out and not feel like taking care of yourself.

I cannot tell you how many clients come to me eating “healthy” smoothie bowls with 70 plus grams of sugar and wondering why their fat loss stalled, their anxiety and depression increased, have stomach and joint pain, and their energy crashed.

If the metabolic reactions are wrong, the results will be wrong.

The first and best way to stack habits is to give your body the nutrition it needs so you actually want to do habits and can actually get the benefits from them. Which is why proper nutrition for your Metabolic Type is the easiest and best way to start stacking… because it sets the foundation for everything else and makes it easier to habit stack moving forward.

One of the ultimate stacks is eating correctly for your metabolic type because when your metabolism is functioning optimally, every chemical reaction in your body improves. Your hormones, gut health, detox pathways, inflammation response, and cellular energy all benefit at once.

That is real efficiency.

Final Thoughts About Habit Stacking

Habit stacking is not about hustling harder.

It is about honoring yourself enough to be efficient.

If you have ever felt like you come last, this is your permission to stop waiting for more time and start using the time you already have.

Stack your movement with learning.

Stack your skincare with cardio.

Stack your nutrition with your metabolic type.

Small aligned actions compound.

You deserve to feel strong, clear, energized, confident, and yes, hot in your body.

But results require action.

Start stacking.
